Eight Marathon Students Inducted into National Technical Honor Society
Eight Marathon Central School students were recognized for their hard work, technical skill, and dedication as they were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a ceremony held April 16 at the OCM BOCES Cortlandville Campus.
Students inducted were:
- Abigail Trabucco — New Vision Medical Professions
- Johnathan Irwin Jr. — Auto Technology
- Barrett Trabucco — Auto Collision
- Caedence Gleason — Cosmetology
- Cheyenne Mathews — Cosmetology
- Delaney Reilly — Cosmetology
- Jamie Randall — Heavy Equipment
- Lukus Hawley — Welding
The Marathon students were among 109 students from eight Cortland-area school districts honored during the ceremony.
To earn membership in NTHS, students must be recommended by their instructor, demonstrate academic excellence in their Career and Technical Education coursework, and exhibit strong attendance, leadership, and citizenship.
During the ceremony, students participated in a candle-lighting ceremony, took the NTHS oath, and received purple honor cords, which they will wear at graduation in June as a symbol of their achievement.
The recognition reflects not only technical skill, but also commitment to scholarship, service, and professionalism.
Congratulations to these students for representing Marathon with pride.
