Seven Valleys Health Coalition: The SVHC is a coalition of providers, agencies and interested individuals working to promote effective, efficient and accessible health and human services through coordinated services, sharing resources, and fostering an integrated system of health care.

St. Joseph’s web site contains a section entitled “Health Information” and includes helpful, easy-to-use teaching tools. Tips on nutrition, exercise ideas and a health encyclopedia also are featured.

Mission Statement:
To promote communtication between the home and schools of the Marathon School District. To sponsor and promote fund-raising projects to provide for the school items that are outside the school budgets. To support the schools in providing the best education for the children.

Meeting Dates:
Sept. 19, Oct. 17, Nov. 14, Jan. 16, Feb. 13, March 20, April 17, May 15, and June 19 at 7:00pm in the Appleby Cafeteria.

JULY 2006

KINDERGARTEN

  • plastic pencil box (or a container with a lid)
  • backpack
  • blanket for naps
  • 1 box of 24 crayons in Sept. and one in Jan. 

PRE-FIRST

  • 2 packages of Crayola washable markers (primary colors, 8 pack, wide tipped)
  • 2 big glue sticks
  • 1 two-pocket folder
  • 2 pink erasers
  • 1 10-pack of #2 pencils

FIRST GRADE

  • *1-box of 10-12, #2 pencils (American Made Please)
  • *1-box of 16 crayons
  • *2 glue sticks
  • *1-fat yellow highlighter
  • 2 pocket folder
  • 4 - tennis balls
  • supply box 9 ½ x 6 (If your child has Mrs. Watros-Barber’s Class)
  • pair of student fiskars scissors (If you child has Mrs. Bush or Mrs. Morse)

SECOND GRADE

  • supply box (5 x 8 - no bigger)

  • 1 one-inch 3-ring binder
  • 8 two-pocket folders (red, yellow, green, blue)

THIRD GRADE

  • #2 pencils, erasers, and a pencil box
  • wide-ruled notebook filler paper for assignments

  • 2 highlighter markers (different colors)
  • 5 two-pocket portfolio folders
  • 1 (hard cover) 3-ring binder (no larger than 2 inches)
  • 1 bottle of school glue and a glue stick

FOURTH GRADE

FIFTH GRADE

  • 1 - box of 24 pencils (No Mechanical pencils or pop-a-point pencils)
  • 1 - box of 16 crayons
  • 1 - box of 8-12 colored pencils
  • 1 - box of 8-10 markers
  • 1 - 1 subject notebooks (please do not send in larger than single subject)
  • 2 packages of wide rule loose leaf paper
  • 10 - 2 pocket folders
  • 5 - composition notebooks (They have the marble cover and are cloth bound)
  • 1 pair of inexpensive sunglasses
  • Scissors
  • 1 - one inch, three ring binder (NO Trapper Keepers)
  • 5 - plastic sheet protectors

SIXTH GRADE

  • 10 pocket folders (if possible, color coded with the notebooks)
